§ 7 Use of "Cookies", Google Analytics and other analytic tools

1. Use of Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer. Cookies enable your computer being automatically recognized during subsequent visits. Cookies are categorized in ‘first party cookies’ and ‘third-party cookies.’ First-party cookies are served directly by the website operator to your computer. These cookies are used only by the website operator to recognize your computer at each revisiting time. Third-party cookies are served by a service provider on behalf of the website operator. The service provider uses these third party cookies to recognize your computer when it visits other websites. Third-party cookies are most commonly used for website analytics. We use both categories.

First-party cookies on our website help us to recognize your browser from previous visits. They also save and remember any preferences that your browser may have set while visiting our website.

Our independent third-party partners often use third party cookies.

The storage of such cookies can be prevented through a corresponding setting in your browser software. Alternatively, you are free to set your Internet browser so that it deletes already stored cookies from your computer hard drive, or blocks all cookies, or warns you before storing any cookie. However, if you choose any of the options given above, we would like to point out that you may not be able to fully use all functions of the website any longer.

Google Analytics

Your IP address, time of visit, device- and browser information as well as information regarding your usage of our website are automatically registered and stored on servers in the United States by Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses third-party cookies. Google Analytics makes it possible to analyze your use of our website. If the IP anonymization is activated, Google will truncate the last octet of the IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address is sent to, and shortened by, Google servers in the United States only in exceptional cases. Google will use this information on our behalf only to (i) analyze your use of our website,               (ii) compile reports about your website activities and provide additional services to us, like the website operator, in connection with the website use and Internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in connection with Google Analytics will not be consolidated with other Google data.

You have the option (opt-out) to cancel the recording of the data related to your use of the website (including your IP address) that is generated by the cookie in connection with Google Analytics, as well as the processing of that data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:

http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

However, if you choose this option, we would like to point out that you may no longer  be able to fully use all functions of the website.

bon the link below. In this case, an opt-out cookie will be set on your device, which prevents any further collection of your data when visiting this website:

Disable Google Analytics

The use of Google Analytics as set out in this Data Protection Statement is carried out under the requirements agreed upon by German data protection authorities and Google.

Google Doubleclick

Doubleclick by Google uses cookies to present advertisements relevant to you. A pseudonym identification number (ID) will be assigned to this end on your browser. The cookies do not contain personalised information. The usage of these DoubleClick-Cookies enables Google and its partner websites to only hook up advertisements of former visits to our or other websites on the internet. All generated information by these cookies are transmitted by Google for analysis to a server in the USA and stored there.

Google Ads

In the Google search results and on the websites of third parties, a Google Remarketing Cookie is installed for advertising purposes when visiting our website. This Google Remarketing Cookie, which is automatically generated through the registration and processing of data (e.g. IP address, time of visit, appliance- and browser information as well as information about the usage of our website), allows an interest-based

advertisement and based on websites previously visited by you through a pseudonym cookie ID. Any further data processing will take place only if you have activated "personalised advertisement" on your Google account. If you are logged in at Google while visiting our website, Google will use your data in conjunction with Google Analytics-Data to generate and define a list of targetted groups for remarketing.

Google Shopping Reviews

We use "Google Shopping Reviews". Google Shopping Reviews stores and processes information about your user profile in our internet presentation. Google Shopping Reviews use, besides other cookies, text data that are stored locally on the message buffer of your web browser and which enables an analysis of your visit to our website.

We use Google Shopping Reviews for marketing- and optimisation purposes, in particular, to analyse our internet presentation being used and to enable us to continuously improve particular functions and offers, as well as our user experience. Through a statistical evaluation of the user pattern, we can improve our offers and, thus, present it more interestingly to you, the user. That is why our interest is also based on the processing by the third party of the above-mentioned data. The legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. a) DSGVO. Information regarding the third party: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Additional information of the third party regarding data protection can be had from the following website: https://support.google.com/merchants/topic/7095697

Google Remarketing

This function serves to present from the Google advertising networks relevant advertisements for the website visitor. This technology makes it possible for us to automatically connect you to advertisements that are specifically aimed at a relevant target group after you visit our website. Advertisements are based on products and services that you have clicked on during your last visit to our website. For this purpose, a "cookie", belonging to the advertising network of Google, is installed in the browser of

the website visitor that makes it possible to recognise the said visitor should he/she visit the website again. Cookies are minute text files that are stored on your browser during a visit to our website. Generally, Google may also store information like your web enquiry, IP address, type of browser, browser language, date and time of your enquiry. This information serves to map the web browser to a particular computer. In that way, promotional advertisements can be presented to the visitor on the pages of the Google advertising network that are relevant to any enquiry a visitor has sought before on the website that uses the Google Remarketing function.
